3i Infotech to merge BPO services into single entity

Global IT solutions and product provider, 3i Infotech Limited today announced that all its BPO businesses would be managed through 3i Infotech BPO, its wholly owned subsidiary.

During the financial year 2008-09, BPO services emerged as a very important component in 3i Infotech's suite of offerings worldwide, contributing one-third of the Rs 2,300 crore revenue. 3i Infotech BPO is being created as an acknowledgment of this important reality, and will offer end-to-end business process services to the BFSI and Telecom companies in the domestic market, the company said in a release.

3i Infotech BPO has its presence across more than 200 cities in India and has a staff strength of nearly 7,000.

Elaborating on the move, Company Executive director and President (South Asia) Anirudh Prabhakaran said the amalgamation was apart of the go-to-market approach of the company to provide a complete range of business process services to clients and leverage the growth opportunity in BPO sector in the domestic market.

3i Infotech BPO will offer wide range of services to the clients through its hub and spoke model. The services included Origination and Data Processing, Payroll, Finance and Accounting, Staffing and HR Services, Customer Relationship Management, Registrar and Transfer Agency Services, Payment and Cheque Processing and Receivables Management.
