Perfios, a Bangalore based technology start-up has introduced a Personal finance management portal targeting the Indian audience. It is similar to mint.com in that it allows for automatic updates from financial institutions. However, unlike US where there are standards for information extraction from Financial Institutions, the India financial sector is vastly unorganized and presents a monumental challenge.
Perfios is a pioneer in this space by providing a method to aggregate information from hundreds of financial institutions and provides tools for analysis for spend patterns, computation of capital gains, taxation etc.
The portal is entirely developed using Adobe Flex framework.
