Fortune magazine names Apple America's "Most Admired Company," which is a good thing but raises concern about a cover jinx. More seriously, the magazine revists the events of 2003-2004, when Apple's board stayed mum about Steve Jobs' cancer for nine months.
The latter story raises two major issues: That Apple's board members may be in awe of Steve Jobs and that Apple itself is overly dependent on its CEO.
