Industry Experts to Share Insight at FSA Semiconductor Leaders Forum Taiwan on November 7

FSA, the voice of the global fabless business model, will hold the fourth annual FSA Semiconductor Leaders Forum TAIWAN at the Taipei International Convention Center on November 7.

The day's program will begin with welcome remarks from Jodi Shelton, executive director of FSA, and Dr. Nicky Lu, Chairman, FSA Asia Pacific Leadership Council; Chairman, president and chief executive officer, Etron Technology, Inc.

The educational program includes the following keynote and featured speakers:

-- Dr. Rick Tsai, president and chief executive officer, TSMC, will present the morning keynote on "Winning Together through Deeper Collaboration."

-- Warren East, chief executive officer, ARM, will discuss "Enhancing IP Access For Fabless Companies." East will share experiences in providing IP to the semiconductor industry and will identify challenges and opportunities.

-- Dr. Craig Barratt, president and chief executive officer, Atheros Communications, Inc., will speak on the "Pursuit of the Innovative Edge: A Wireless Semiconductor Perspective." Dr. Barratt will share experiences and insights on innovating in the fabless semiconductor market.

-- Dr. C Y Lu, chairman, Ardentec and president, Macronix International Co., will present the afternoon keynote, "The New Paradigm and Challenge of the Semiconductor Test Industry." He will discuss the challenge of keeping pace with technological change during a time of a paradigm shift in testing.

-- Dr. Chi-Foon Chan, president and chief operating officer, Synopsys, Inc., will close the educational Forum with a presentation on "Semiconductor and EDA Challenges: Still Lots to Solve!" Dr. Chan will focus on current and future economic and technology issues facing the industry.

In addition, the Forum will feature a luncheon workshop focused on "Low Power Design," sponsored by Cadence Design Systems.
