HP Fully Backing Windows 7 release

Following today’s release of Microsoft’s Windows 7, HP have now announced that they will now offer Windows 7 on their entire range of computer systems.

This announcement seems to suggest that HP are extremely impressed with Microsoft’s successor to Windows Vista, HP have also announced that in an attempt to make the switch from Vista to 7 as smooth as possible they are offering “customers tools and services to assist them in transitioning to Windows 7″.

Windows 7 PCs in India from 15K now available

The world's largest software maker Microsoft, today launched the much-awaited 'Windows 7' operating system (OS) with a host of tools for multimedia applications for business and retail customers.
Smarting under the failure of its earlier operating system 'Vista', Windows 7 promises significant improvement in productivity levels, enhanced security, reduced risk and manageability costs.

Lenovo launches Windows 7 PCs in India

Coinciding with the global launch of Windows 7 by software giant Microsoft, leading computer maker Lenovo Thursday rolled out in the Indian market a new range of Think and Idea-branded PCs running on the new operating system.

"We are also introducing two new ThinkPad laptops with Windows 7 OS for the small-to-medium businesses (SMB) work. We are certifying Windows 7 PCs under the enhanced experience programme," Lenovo said in a statement released here.

Windows 7 launched in India, Worldwide

Software major Microsoft launched the latest version of the Windows operating system -- Windows 7 -- which the software major hopes will help reverse the losses incurred on account of the glitches in Windows Vista, launched earlier.

Windows 7 is designed to be more reliable and responsive, delivering a simplified PC experience for consumers, which Microsoft claims is a result of the largest beta testing programme in the history of the industry, with eight million testers worldwide.

Microsoft Releases Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for Manufacturing

Microsoft today announced the release to manufacturing (RTM) of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, the next versions of its flagship desktop and server operating systems. This signals the completion of the development phase and industry partners including OEMs and Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs), are now readying products in time for the worldwide general launches of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Windows 7 will be available by October to customers across the world, with current Windows Volume License customers, MSDN subscribers and TechNet subscribers getting first access in the coming weeks itself.

With Windows 7, Microsoft is delivering a foundation for exceptional customer experiences across applications, services and devices. Windows 7 enhances PC manageability and introduces compelling new experiences, delivering an operating system that is nimble, highly reliable, more secure, optimized for today's powerful hardware and able to easily connect with the devices people use today. It reflects an evolved approach to engineering that weaves customer and partner feedback more closely into the development process. Windows 7 delivers innovative new features while focusing on preserving application and device compatibility.

Windows 7 coming to stores on October 22


All of you Windows freaks, its time to be happy, Windows 7 "Next Microsoft OS Release" will hit the stores not later than October 22. As per a mail from Microsoft to its RC Users, the Windows RC downloads are ending August 20 and Final release will be rolled out on Oct 22.

Windows 7 is being called as the best Windows till date.

Thanks for all your help building Windows 7. We are on our way to the last big milestone: Release to Manufacturing. Starting on October 22, you’ll see it on PCs and store shelves. As we gear up for that, it’s time to wind down the Release Candidate testing program.

If you or a friend needs a download, you’ve got time. We’ll continue to offer the RC download until August 20, 2009. After that, you won’t be able to get the download, but if you have the bits, you can still install the RC and get a key if you need one.
