Forex reserves marginally up by 1.66 bn USD

Fuelled by increase in foreign currency assets, the foreign exchange reserves of the country went up marginally by 1.66 billion USD to touch 262.30 billion USD for the week ending May 29.

According to the weekly statistical bulletin released by the RBI, the reserves were lower by 52.30 billion USD when compared to the situation a year ago.

Foreign currency assets went up by 1.29 billion USD during the week to touch 251.45 billion USD. Gold was up by 373 million USD.
