First H1N1 flu case detected in India

A suspected Swine Flu patient, the first in Rajasthan, has been identified and admitted to the SMS Hospital here.

Additional Director(Health) BR Meena said Rajesh, a resident of Jalalsar village in Jhunjhunu district tested positive of Swine Flu(AH1-N1) infection during test by a special medical team deployed at the Sanganer Airport here today.

Rajesh was subjected to the test on his arrival at the Airport from Dubai.

Subsequently, he was admitted to the isolation ward of the SMS Hospital.

His test samples and reports have been forwarded to National Institute of Communicable Diseases(NICD) for confirmation, Dr Meena said.
