OneWorld Health Appoints Dr. Rajshankar Ghosh as India Country Director

The Institute for OneWorld Health (iOWH), the US-based non-profit pharmaceutical company that develops drugs for people with infectious diseases in the developing world, today announced the appointment of Dr. Rajshankar Ghosh as India Country Director. Dr. Ghosh will oversee all programs, staff and operations in India, and spearhead OneWorld Health's partnerships and government relations activities in that country.

"In addition to his impressive public health background, he brings a comprehensive understanding of India's health system from the grassroots level up. Dr. Ghosh brings 15 years' public health experience to the India Country Director position. Prior to joining OneWorld Health, he was the Senior Program Manager of PATH's Japanese Encephalitis project in India. He also served as director of PATH's immunization project in India, providing managerial and technical support to the immunization teams working on the Cervical Cancer, Immunization Health Systems and Children's Vaccine projects. Prior to his tenure at PATH, Dr. Ghosh served in the State Government Health Services in West Bengal and with the World Health Organization.
