Indu Projects Limited (“IPL”), a Hyderabad-based infrastructure and real estate developer with operations spread across various states in the country, has bagged the Rs 505 crore civil and structural works contract of Maharashtra’s power generation company Mahagenco’s 2 X 500 MW Bhusawal Thermal Power Station plant project in Bhusawal (District Jalgaon), Maharashtra.

Indu Projects Limited have been sub-contracted by Tata Projects Limited for balance of plant works in connection with the expansion of the 2 x 500 MW Bhusawal Thermal Power Station, Maharashtra. We are engaged in the civil and structural construction works of this project excluding those relating to the chimney, cooling towers and the ash and coal system. We commenced work on the Bhusawal Thermal Power Plant in December 2007. The first unit of the project is expected to be completed in June 2010 and the second unit in October 2010.
The scope of our work in this project includes the construction of civil foundations and superstructures in the main power plant, treatment plants, ancillary buildings and fuel oil handling system. We are also responsible for providing structural steel work in the civil construction work undertaken by us. The value of our contract for these services is approximately Rs.505 crores and the scheduled completion period of the project contract is 34 months.
