The Detroit Branch NAACP, along with Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick, Booker T. Washington Business Association, International Detroit Black Expo and the Independent Retailers Association, will unveil "SHOP DETROIT 2007." The press conference will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Pinnacle Sportswear located at 16909 Harper Avenue in Detroit. "Shop Detroit" is an annual campaign that encourages residents of the City and Metropolitan Detroit to support businesses in the city of Detroit, especially during the Holiday season. Rev. Dr. Wendell Anthony, Mayor Kwame M. Kilpatrick and representatives from the partner organizations will roll out the campaign and bring remarks.
