Iconix Signs 4 Brand License Deals

Iconix Brand Group Inc., which owns and licenses such brands as Candie's and Joe Boxer, said Tuesday it signed four separate license agreements for its London Fog, Op, Rampage, Joe Boxer and Danskin brands.

The company agreed to a deal with Beijing-based real estate and retail company New Foundations that gives New Foundations an exclusive, multi-year license to make and distribute London Fog apparel, accessories and products in China. New Horizons also intends to open more than 100 London Fog stores and in-store shops in China.

Iconix said it forged a long-term license agreement with Mint Apparel under which Mint will distribute Op apparel, accessories and products in Europe.

Under a third agreement, Iconix began an exclusive long-term license agreement with The Style Company under which it will open up 35 stand-alone retail stores for Rampage, Op and Joe Boxer in the Middle East.

Iconix also signed a license agreement with Grupo Zipora for the manufacturing and distribution of Danskin items in Mexico.

Iconix added Tuesday that it expanded its Mossimo Australia license with Pacific Brands Ltd., which intends to open 10 Mossimo stores in Australia during the next several years.

Shares of Iconix rose 85 cents, or 3.9 percent, to $22.43 in morning trading.
