ICL Announces Round of Senior Management Appointments

Israel Chemicals Ltd. ("ICL") (TASE:ICL), a multinational fertilizer and specialty chemicals company, today announced a round of senior management appointments made by the Board of Directors:

Asher Grinbaum, currently President and CEO of ICL Fertilizers, has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ICL.

Yossi Shachar, currently President and CEO of ICL Industrial Products, has been appointed as Executive Vice President for Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions of ICL.

Dani Chen, currently Senior Vice President Marketing of ICL Fertilizers, has been appointed as President and CEO of ICL Fertilizers in place of Mr. Grinbaum.

Nissim Adar, currently Deputy to the CEO of ICL Industrial Products has been appointed President and CEO of ICL Industrial Products in place of Mr. Shachar.

Alexander (Sasha) Paz, currently ICL's Vice President for Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions, has been appointed President and CEO of Rotem Holdings which is responsible for the activities of ICL Performance Products in Europe and the Far East.

Osi Sessler, currently Manager of Investor Relations and Communications, has been appointed as ICL's Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications.

Herzel Bar Niv, ICL's Controller, has been appointed as ICL's Vice President of International Taxation.

All of the appointments will be effective on January 1, 2008, or at a later date as required.

Commenting on the appointments Yossi Rosen, ICL's Chairman said, "The Board of Directors of ICL is confident that the deepening of the management group at the company's headquarters, as well as the appointment of new CEOs for ICL Fertilizers and ICL Industrial Products, will further strengthen the company and assist its growth. These appointments are consistent with previous actions taken by ICL during the past several years to broaden the company's international activities. These appointments also represent a boost for ICL's central management in its efforts to further develop and cultivate middle management of the company".

Likewise, the appointment of former chief executives from our ICL Fertilizers and ICL Industrial Products segments as Executive Vice Presidents of ICL will further strengthen our capabilities related to the environment and safety, areas which ICL attaches great importance, and likewise contribute to the continued international development of the company."

Mr. Grinbaum, 57, the newly appointed Executive Vice President and COO of ICL, has been affiliated with the company for 32 years, serving in a variety of capacities including President of Dead Sea Works and President of ICL Industrial Products. He has been President of ICL Fertilizers for the past four years. Mr. Grinbaum has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from Ben Gurion University.

Mr. Shachar, 58, ICL's new Executive Vice President for Strategy and M&A, has been President of ICL Industrial Products since April 2004. He has been affiliated with ICL for 33 years, serving in a variety of positions in finance and economics, marketing, mergers and acquisitions at ICL's subsidiary, Rotem Amfert Negev Ltd., President and Chief Executive Officer of ICL Performance Products and President of that segment's BKG unit in Germany. Mr. Shachar has a degree in Statistics and Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Mr. Chen, 55, the newly appointed President and CEO of ICL Fertilizers, has been affiliated with ICL for 29 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of Marketing of ICL Fertilizers. He has served in a variety of capacities for ICL both in Israel and overseas in the areas of production and marketing. Mr. Chen holds degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion and Industrial Management from Ben Gurion University.

Mr. Adar, 56, the newly appointed President and CEO of ICL Industrial Products, has served in a variety of production and marketing positions for ICL in Israel and overseas for the past 28 years. He has been Vice President of ICL Industrial Products for the past 5 years. Mr. Adar has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Industrial Management from Ben Gurion University.

Mr. Paz, 62, the newly appointed President and CEO of Rotem Holdings, has been affiliated with ICL at various times during the past 20 years engaged in a variety of marketing and M&A activities. For the past 8 years he has been Vice President for Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions and was previously Division Manager and Vice President of Mergers, Acquisitions and International Activities of Rotem Amfert Negev Ltd. Mr. Paz holds degrees in Statistics and Economics and Business Management Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Ms. Sessler, 40, the newly appointed Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications, has been Manager of Investor Relations and Communications for the past 4 years. Previously, Ms. Sessler was an investment banker at CS First Boston and JP Morgan Chase in New York, England and Israel. Ms. Sessler holds degrees in Economics from UCLA and a Masters in Business Administration from Yale University.

Mr. Bar Niv, 58, ICL's newly appointed Vice President of International Taxation, has been affiliated with ICL for 14 years, including the past seven years as Controller of the company. Previously, he was Controller at the company's Rotem Amfert Negev Ltd. division. Mr. Bar Niv holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bar Ilan.
