Creating and Harvesting: The Brand Name “Google”

Today, I was rather surprised to see the new HTML title of Gmail homepage, which said: “Gmail: Email from Google”. Seems, now Google wants to harvest the Brand name Google. Since its establishment in January 1996, as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, they have grown at an agile pace making benchmarks for others in Online Search and Advertising.
Now as Google rules the online space, which is much ahead of its nearest rivals like Yahoo and MSN. It has now reached the place where it can just make a product a big hit by just providing its brand name; look at the pre release speculation about Gphone. People are desperately waiting for the release of Gphone.
All the takeovers by Google have reached new heights after gaining the new USP in fthe form new father. Picasa, the photo organizer, Youtube, the video sharing website, Orkut, the social networking site, Blogger, the blogging platform, all have become Gods in their respective fields.
The thirst for innovation has always led to better performance form Google.
As rightly said:
“ Brand management is the application of marketing techniques to a specific product, product line, or brand. It seeks to increase the product's perceived value to the customer and thereby increase brand franchise and brand equity. Marketers see a brand as an implied promise that the level of quality people have come to expect from a brand will continue with future purchases of the same product. This may increase sales by making a comparison with competing products more favorable.”
Now, that was all from my side, hoping to get more products from Google.

From a proud Googler…
