Bharti Teletech achieves export milestone

Bharti Teletech, a leading manufacturer and distributor of telecom and allied products, Sunday said it has been judged the highest telecom equipment exporter for 2006-07 by Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council.

The company exported over a million telephones to 30 countries across five continents during the period.

Bharti Teletech sells over 45 different phone models under the "Beetel" brand, with prices ranging from Rs.295 to Rs.3,795.

"The award is a reaffirmation of Beetel's manufacturing prowess in the telecom sector, not only in India but also globally," Pawan Kapur, CEO, Bharti Teletech, said in a statement.

Part of Bharti Enterprises, Bharti Teletech has two manufacturing units in Goa and Ludhiana with an installed capacity of six million telephone units annually.
