AEG Europe Chooses EatecNetX for The O2 Arena and indigO2

Eatec Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise back-office solutions and services for the hospitality and foodservice industries, and Index Hospitality Systems B.V., one of Eatec's business partners in Europe and a leading information technology service provider to the hospitality market in Europe, announced today that AEG Europe has selected EatecNetX, Eatec's web-centric software solution, for food and beverage management at The O2 arena and indigO2 in London.

The O2 is Europe's ultimate entertainment destination - a city within a city for Londoners and the world to explore and enjoy. The venue offers visitors an unrivalled leisure and hospitality experience never seen before in the United Kingdom. The centrepiece of the venue is an indoor arena for up to 20,000 fans that will host over 150 world-class music, entertainment and sport events in its first year of opening. Additionally, The O2 is an official venue for the 2012 Olympics, hosting both the gymnastic and basketball events.

An Entertainment Avenue surrounds the arena and is the width and length of London's Bond Street. Open to all, it features a mixture of leisure attractions including the smaller 2,350 capacity live music venue, indigO2, an 11-screen cinema, an exhibition space, and a whole host of restaurants, bars and cafes for visitors to enjoy.

EatecNetX will be used for suite food and beverage management, recipe and menu development, purchasing, receiving, inventory control, production management, transfers and requisitions in the O2 arena's 96 suites, 16 public concession stands, 8 bars, VIP Club Lounge, O2 Lounge and Blueroom, the Chairman's Club, and back-office kitchen. In indigO2, EatecNetX will be used for recipe and menu development, purchasing, receiving, inventory control, transfers and requisitions. Sales data will be imported directly from the point-of-sale system for accurate depletion of inventory and accounting data will be exported from EatecNetX to accounts payable and general ledger systems. EatecNetX will offer an extensive array of reports at the store, region, concept and company level.

About AEG & The O2
AEG is one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. It owns or operates some of the world's best arenas and theatres, numerous sports franchises including the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and The David Beckham Academy, and a collection of companies dedicated to producing, promoting and presenting world-class live entertainment.

In May 2005, AEG announced that it had joined forces with O2 to help transform the former Millennium Dome and the surrounding area into the UK's most exciting and technically advanced music, sport and entertainment destination. It was renamed The O2 in June 2007. The centrepiece of the multi-million pound development is an indoor arena for over 20,000 fans that will host over 150 world-class music, entertainment and sport events in its first year of opening. There is also a live music venue, indigO2, with a capacity of over 2,300; a 'bubble' shaped world-class exhibition space that will host the Tutankhamen exhibition from November 2007; an 11 screen state-of-the-art cinema complex; and a vibrant 'Entertainment Avenue' featuring a variety of bars, restaurants, and leisure facilities.

The O2 is an official venue for the 2012 Olympics hosting both the gymnastic and basketball events. In Zone 2 of London's Underground, The O2 is situated at the North Greenwich station on the Jubilee Line, which provides direct access to central London in less than twenty minutes. Thames Clippers, fast-speed catamarans, will run a ferry service from central London to the QEII pier next to the venue. AEG employs more than 3,000 staff in over 45 operating companies worldwide.
